Porcelain / Composite Veneers

Both composite and porcelain veneers are great options to cover dental imperfections.

Porcelain Veneers

1. Substantially more expensive than composite;
2. Have a more natural finish as they have the same light reflecting properties that enamel has.
3. Are stronger and more resistant to staining.
4. They will last in excess of 20 years if looked after properly.

Composite Veneers

1. Cheaper than porcelain.
2. Prone to staining teeth that have gaps between them.
3. Tend to last between 4-8 years.

Depending on the condition of your teeth and the problem being rectified, the dentist will inform you which veneer is more appropriate.
